Darling International Inc.. The Group's principal activity is to collect and recycle animal processing by-products and used cooking oil from food service establishments. The Group operates through two segments: Rendering and Restaurant services. Rendering consists of the collection and processing of animal by-products from butcher shops, grocery stores food service industry and meat and poultry processors, converting these principally into useable oils and proteins utilized by the agricultural, leather and oleo-chemical industries. Restaurant Services consists of the collection of used cooking oils from food service establishments and recycling them into similar products such as high-energy animal feed ingredients and industrial oils. Restaurant Services also provides grease trap servicing. The products of the Group are sold in Asia, the Pacific Rim, North Africa, Mexico and South America. On 23-Feb-2009, the Group acquired Boca Industries Inc.
