Jacobs Financial Group, Inc. Formerly known as NELX, Inc.. The Group's principal activity is to provide Investment Advisory and Surety Bond Brokerage Services. It provides fee based investment advisory services to institutions and individuals, including the Jacobs & Company Mutual Fund. It operates through two segments: Investment Advisory and Surety insurance products and services. The Investment Advisory Service segment derives revenue from asset based fees. The Surety insurance products and services consists of placing surety bonds with insurance companies for clients engaged in regulated industries, such as the extraction of coal, oil and gas. This segment derives commission income from the placement of these bonds. The Group acquired West Virginia Fire and Casualty Company (WVFCC), an insurance company licensed to engage in business in West Virginia, Ohio and Indiana.
