AKITA Drilling Ltd.. The Group's principal activity is to provide drilling contract services for oil and gas exploration. The Company operates a fleet of 31 drilling rigs and joint venture interests in another 11 rigs within the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin and in Canada's northern territories. In addition to conventional drilling services, the Group constructs and operates purpose-built arctic rigs. The Group also provides directional, horizontal, under balanced drilling and specialized drilling services to independent and multinational oil and gas companies.
