Aberforth Geared Capital & Income Trust PLC. The Company's principal activity is that of an Investment Trust. The objective of the Company is to provide income shareholders with a high level of income payable half yearly with the potential for income growth and to provide capital shareholders with geared capital growth. The Company is an Investment Company within the meaning of Section 266 of the Companies Act 1985. The Company has been approved by the HM Revenue and Customs as an Investment Trust for the purposes of Section 842 of the Income and Corporation Taxes Act 1988 for the year ended 31-Dec-2007.Investment management services are provided by Aberforth Partners LLP for a quarterly fee of 0.25% of the lower of the Company's shareholders' funds and the market capitalisation of the Company, plus 5.0% of the total income (excluding any tax credit) per annum (plus irrecoverable VAT thereon). The agreement is terminable by either party at any time by giving six months' notice.
