North Atlantic Smaller Companies Investment Trust PLC. The Group's principal activity is that of an Investment Trust. The objective of the Group is to provide capital appreciation through investment in a portfolio of smaller companies principally based in countries bordering the North Atlantic Ocean. The Group is an Investment Company within the meaning of Section 266 of the Companies Act 1985. The Group has been approved by HM Revenue and Customs as an Investment Trust for the purposes of Section 842 of the Income and Corporation Taxes Act 1988 for the year ended 31-Jan-2007.Investment management services are provided by Christopher Mills and North Atlantic Value LLP for a fee equal to the difference between 1% per annum plus VAT based on shareholders' funds on 31 January each year, and the amount payable to Growth Financial Services Ltd , payable quarterly in advance. The agreement is terminable by either party on not less than four months' notice in writing.
