Force Protection, Inc.. The Group's principal activities are designing, manufacturing and distributing mine protected vehicles. The products combine innovative designs with power, safety, handling and stability to create vehicles designed to protect and save lives. The Group has four types of vehicles: Buffalo, Cougar, Cougar Lightweight/Cougar Restricted Terrain and the Cheetah. Buffalo is designed primarily for use in conducting route clearance operations. The Cougar is a family of medium-sized blast-and ballistic protected vehicles that can be supplied in 4-wheeled and 6-wheeled variants and in a variety of configurations for the wide range of missions performed by customers. The Cougar Lightweight/Cougar Restricted Terrain is a new class of vehicle developed in response to an urgent request to develop vehicles providing enhanced mobility while maintaining survivability and the Cheetah is designed for reconnaissance, forward command and control, and urban operations.
