National Retail Properties, Inc. Formerly known as Commercial Net Lease Realty Inc. The Group's principal activity is that of a fully integrated, self-administered real estate investment trust. The Group acquires, owns, manages and indirectly through investment interests, develops high quality freestanding properties. These properties are leased to major retail businesses under full-credit, long-term commercial net leases. The Group invests in single-tenant, freestanding retail properties, which are located along commercial corridors near traffic generators such as regional malls, business developments and major thoroughfares. As of 31-Dec-2006, the Group owned 710 Investment properties in 44 states that are leased to major retail businesses, including Academy, Barnes and Noble, Bennigan's, Best Buy, Borders, Eckerd, Food 4 Less, Good Guys, Jared Jewelers, OfficeMax and The Sports Authority. On 02-May-2005, the Group acquired 78.9% in Orange Avenue Mortgage Investments, Inc and on 16-Jun-2005, National Properties Corporation.
