Student Loan Corporation (The). The Group's principal activity is to provide student loans. It originates, manages and services federally insured student loans through a trust agreement with Citibank, N.A. (CBNA), an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Citigroup Inc. It provides subsidized Federal Stafford loans, unsubsidized Federal Stafford loans, Federal Parent Loans to Undergraduate Students (PLUS) and Federal Consolidation Loans. In addition, the Company offers Supplemental Loans for Students (SLS Loans). It also owns a portfolio of Health Education Assistance Loans (HEAL Loans), composed of guaranteed student loans for borrowers in designated health professions under a federally insured loan program. These programs are administered by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The Group operates throughout United States.
