U.S. Bancorp. The Group's principal activities are to provide financial services. The financial services include lending and depository services, cash management, foreign exchange and trust and investment management services. It also provides credit card services, merchant and automated teller machine processing, mortgage banking, insurance, brokerage, leasing and investment banking. The lending services include traditional commercial credit products as well as credit card services, financing and import/export trade, asset-backed lending, agricultural finance and other products. Depository services include checking accounts, savings accounts and time certificate contracts. As on 30-Jun-2008, the Group operated through 2,542 banking offices and 4,895 ATMs in 24 states.
