Vail Resorts, Inc.. The Group's principal activity is to operate resorts in North America through its subsidiaries. The Group operations are carried through three business segments: Mountain, Lodging and Real Estate. The Mountain segment owns and operates five premier ski resort properties as well as ancillary businesses, primarily including ski school, dining and retail/rental operations. The Lodging segment owns and manages a collection of luxury hotels under its RockResorts International, LLC brand, strategic lodging properties and a large number of condominiums located in proximity to the Group's ski resorts, the Grand Teton Lodge Company which operates three destination resorts at Grand Teton National Park and golf courses. The Real Estate segment holds, develops, buys and sells real estate in and around the resort communities.
