The Wal-Mart Stores segment operates three different retail formats: Discount Stores, Super centers and Neighborhood Markets. The International segment consists of several different formats of retail stores and restaurants including discount stores, Super centers and Sam's Clubs that operate outside the United States. The Sam's Club segment consists of membership warehouse clubs. The Group operates in the United States, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, China, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Japan, Mexico, Nicaragua, Puerto Rico and the United Kingdom. As on 30-Apr-2008, the Group operated 937 discount stores, 2,527 supercenters, 138 neighborhood markets and 593 Sam's club in the United States. It also operates 3,148 units internationally.
