Westmoreland Coal Company. The Group's principal activity is producing and marketing coal from coal surface mines in Montana, North Dakota and Texas. It owns five mines: Absaloka Mine, Beulah Mine, Jewett Mine, Rosebud Mine, and Savage Mine. The Group also owns interests in cogeneration and other non-regulated independent power plants. The Group's major customers include Texas Genco and the owners of Colstrip Units 3&4, which includes Avista Corporation, NorthWestern Corporation, PacifiCorp, Portland General Electric Company, PPL Montana LLC and Puget Sound Energy Inc.
