Citron Holding AG. The Group's principal activity is to transform waste into secondary raw materials and green energy. The Group's activities are carried out through three segments: Solid, Liquid and Lurn. Its recycling products are sold to metal and cement industries. As a result of the growing pressure industry is facing towards production processes with closed-loop material flows, the Group developed a high technology recycling process to achieve this goal in the most cost effective manner, even for waste which until today had to be landfilled, namely, the Oxyreducer TM process. A new plant using the Oxyreducer TM was put into operation in September 1999. Two key strategies were achieved: An increase in the amount of waste which can be recycled by using a flexible treatment process and a reduction in recycling costs by operating a large plant of 130,000 tons capacity per year.
