The Company is an Investment Company within the meaning of the Companies Act 2006. The Company has been approved by the Inland Revenue as an Investment Trust for the purposes of Section 842 of the United Kingdom Income and Corporation Taxes Act 1988 for the year ended 31-Jul-2007. Investment management services are provided by Schroder Investment Management Ltd for a fee calculated at the rate of 1.00% per annum (plus VAT) payable quarterly in arrears and calculated by reference to the value of the Company's assets under management (net of current liabilities other than short term borrowings) at the end of the relevant quarter.
